FAQ
What makes Wille Kind clothing different?
Wille Kind is designed with intention—each piece is created to mix, match, and layer effortlessly. We focus on timeless styles, quality fabrics, and thoughtful colour palettes so children can explore their own sense of style, not just get dressed.
What sizes do you offer?
Our collections are currently designed for little girls aged 2–6 years. Each product page includes a simple size guide to help you choose the best fit.
Are your fabrics comfortable for everyday wear?
Yes—comfort is at the heart of everything we make. We mostly use breathable, natural fabrics like cotton and linen (or sometimes a blend including ramie or rayon) that are safe on the skin and made for real play, movement, and adventure. Sometimes we use school tech fabric for pants and shorts for its performance properties.
How do I style Wille Kind pieces?
Our pieces are intentionally designed to work together like a mini wardrobe. Think of it as a “capsule collection”—a few beautiful items that create many outfits. You can keep it simple or get creative—your little one leads the way.
How long does delivery take?
We offer door-to-door courier delivery. Orders are typically processed within 1–3 working days, and delivery takes 2–5 working days depending on your location.
What is your return policy?
If you’re not completely happy with your purchase, you can return unworn items within a specified time frame (e.g. 7–14 days). Items must be in their original condition. Please see our Returns Policy page for full details.
Do you restock sold-out items?
Each season we produce small, thoughtful batches. Some favourites may return, but many pieces are limited. If you love something, we recommend not waiting too long.
Can I buy Wille Kind as a gift?
Absolutely. Wille Kind pieces make beautiful, meaningful gifts. If you’d like, we can include a simple gift note—just add your message at checkout.
How do I care for my Wille Kind garments?
To keep your pieces looking their best, we recommend gentle cold washes and air drying. Natural fabrics age beautifully when cared for with intention.
Do you ship internationally?
At the moment, we primarily ship within South Africa, but we’re growing. If you’re based elsewhere, feel free to contact us—we’ll do our best to assist.
What is the difference between linen and cotton?
Linen is lighter, more breathable, and has a natural textured look, while cotton is softer, smoother, and more familiar for everyday wear. Linen keeps little bodies cool in warm weather, while cotton offers gentle comfort for all-day use.
What is ramie, and why is it used in clothing?
Ramie is a natural plant fibre similar to linen. It’s strong, breathable, and helps garments hold their shape. It’s often blended with softer fibres to create pieces that are both durable and comfortable for children.
What is viscose, and is it suitable for kids?
Viscose is a plant-based fibre made from wood pulp. It feels incredibly soft and smooth, almost like silk, and adds a gentle drape to garments. It’s comfortable for children, especially when blended with more durable fibres.
Why are blended fabrics used?
Blended fabrics combine the strengths of different fibres. For example, a linen-cotton blend can be breathable like linen but softer and easier to care for. Blends are ideal for children because they offer comfort, durability, and practicality.
Are natural fabrics better for children?
Natural and plant-based fabrics like cotton, linen, and ramie are breathable and gentle on sensitive skin. They help regulate body temperature and are well-suited to active, everyday wear.
Do these fabrics handle everyday play well?
Yes. Cotton is especially durable for daily wear, while linen and ramie are naturally strong fibres. When blended thoughtfully, these fabrics are made to move, play, and last.
Why do some fabrics wrinkle more than others?
Fabrics like linen wrinkle easily because they are less processed and more natural. This is part of their relaxed, lived-in beauty. Blends are often used to reduce wrinkling while keeping the fabric breathable.
What is school tech fabrics?
School tech fabrics are usually synthetic or performance blends (often polyester-based), not natural fibre blends like linen or cotton. Brands position it as “good for kids” because it solves real-life parent concerns:
- Easy care
- Wipes clean easily
- Machine washable
- Quick drying
- Durability
- Resistant to tearing and wear
- Holds shape after repeated washing
- Fewer stains “set in”
- Less ironing
- Survives rough play
